The San Diego Leather Pride Committee is pleased to announce the 2008 line up of activities in honor of Leather Pride Week, which begins Thursday, March 6, 2008. This year San Diego Leather Pride will join with a non-profit dedicated to the recovery of those in need. We have challenged Stepping Stone-San Diego to create a program designed specifically for leather people or those not comfortable in a typical program setting. Stepping Stone-San Diego accepted the challenge and we look forward to joining them in their mission of saving lives.

Once again ALL CLUB NIGHT, hosted by SDLOG will kick-off Leather Pride week on Thursday, March 6TH at the Joyce Beers Community Center with activities designed to encourage an atmosphere of fun, excited and camaraderie between the areas clubs and organizations. All local clubs and organizations are encouraged to participate and may contact us through our website MrSanDiegoLeather.net.

MEET & GREET the judges and contestants for Ms San Diego Leather on Friday, March 7TH at the San Diego Eagle beginning at 8PM. The 2008 MS SAN DIEGO LEATHER CONTEST will be held on Saturday, March 8TH at Rich’s Club located at 1051 University Ave. A VIP RECEPTION for the package holders will begin at 6PM with the 2008 Ms SAN DIEGO LEATHER CONTEST immediately following at 7PM. The “SISTERS’ LEATHER MASS” DANCE will take place after the contest at Bacchus House, 3054 University Ave. with admission included for VIP ticket holders.

LEATHER PRIDE WEEK picks up again on Thursday, March 13Th with the SALUTE TO MR. SAN DIEGO LEATHER DINNER at 7PM at the Park Manor Suites. This special event is to honor a man who has worked through diversity and adversity for an entire year. The keynote speech for Leather Pride will take place at this event. The tickets are NOT part of the package and must be purchased separately for $25 online at www.MrSanDiegoLeather.net or Pleasures and Treasures or The Crypt.

The MR. SAN DIEGO LEATHER MEET N GREET will be on Friday, March 14Th at The Eagle at 8PM. Prior to the MEET N GREET the judges will be hosted by Bourbon Street and Lei Lounge. The 2008 MR. SAN DIEGO LEATHER CONTEST will be held on Saturday, March 15TH at Rich’s Club. At 5PM there will be a VIP RECEPTION with an ART and LEATHER AUCTION featuring local and national artists as well as items from all over the US. The 2008 MR. SAN DIEGO LEATHER CONTEST will follow the reception at promptly at 7PM. The popular LLBEAR DANCE at Rich’s will be right after the contest and is included in the VIP ticket price only. General tickets for the dance only must be purchased at the door at Rich’s.

Sunday morning at 10AM VICTORY BRUNCH will be held at Park Manor Suites located at 525 Spruce Street. Price for the brunch is $20 at the door or included with the LEATHER WEEK PACKAGE.

The $60 VIP LEATHER WEEK PACKAGE includes both the Ms. and Mr. Leather VIP receptions and contests; “Sisters’ Leather mass” Dance; LLBear Dance; special prizes and Sunday Brunch. It does NOT include the $25 Salute to Mr. San Diego Leather Dinner at Park Manor at 7PM Thursday, March 15.

Both VIP tickets and Salute tickets are available online, at Pleasures and Treasures, or at the Crypt. $20 Single contest tickets available at the doors only.

The proceeds from Leather Pride 2008 will benefit Stepping Stone-San Diego, The Leather History Project and the Mr. and Ms. San Diego Leather Operating Fund.
