The San Diego Leather Pride Committee is pleased to announce the line up of judges for the 2008 Mr. San Diego Leather Contest, March 13-16.

  We are honored to have as Head Judge for the Mr. San Diego Leather Contest, Great Lakes Leather Sir 2002 – Don Leach. Don has been very active in the Chicago leather community since moving there from Columbus a few years ago. We would like to welcome Daddy Don to San Diego where the weather is warm and the boys are hot. From the East Coast, we would like to welcome International Master 2007 - Master Larry. Master Larry will be the first International Master to judge the Mr. San Diego Leather Contest and will be our guest with International slave - slave barb. Slave barb will present a workshop on BDSM relationships through the courtesy of Club X, San Diego’s largest pansexual leather/BDSM/fetish group. Rounding out the out-of-town judges will be International Mr. Leather 2007 - Mike Gerle. Mike is a member of the Los Angeles leather community which has supported our efforts through the years. Joining our guests will be San Diego Mr. Leather 2006 – Buster, who has continued working in the San Diego community since his step down two years ago. The final three judges will be chosen next month and will consist of a community judge selected by lottery, a Leather Pride Committee choice, and an outgoing titleholder choice selected by San Diego Mr. Leather 2007 – Lee Butler.

We are also honored to have as the Master of Ceremony, International Mr. Leather 1992 – Lenny Broberg. Lenny comes to us from San Francisco where he works tirelessly in that community as an auctioneer, MC, and of course – police officer.

San Diego Leather Pride begins on Wednesday, March 5Th with All Club Night and the Ms San Diego Leather Contest on Saturday, March 8TH. Leather Pride continues the following week with the Titleholder Stepdown Dinner on Thursday, March 13TH and a Meet N Greet at the San Diego Eagle on Friday, March 14TH. The Mr. San Diego Leather Contest will take place on Saturday, March 15TH with a reception at Rich’s beginning at 5PM followed by the contest at 7PM and the dance at 9PM. Leather Pride ends on Sunday, March 16 with the Titleholder Brunch and cigar social later that evening.

This year money raised during Leather Pride Week will benefit Stepping Stone San Diego and the Leather History Project.
